*********UPDATE*********
She also has tested positive for the flu.
*
I will post an update...
*
Ema (aka Doodlebug #3) had her stitches out early yesterday, She still is having an issue with the hematoma and will see the doctor in two weeks for another check of her neck.
*
I have a very sick child at home (day 2) and after 24 hours of fever (last night spiked at 104.3), scared the doo-doo out of me, landed us in the doctors office early this a.m. She (Doodlebug #2) has tested positive for strep and will have results from lab soon for the flu. Ok. I soooooo do NOT need the flu running through my household. I don't even need strep running through my household.
*
So if I am off for a couple of days this is why...please pray for us. The Chief and I haven't slept in a couple of days 'cause #5 Doodlebug has a severe stuffy nose and is not sleeping or nursing very well....joy oh, joy! Add in Doodlebug #2, high fever, middle of the night cooling showers with screaming sick child, waking up DB's 1,3,4, and 5...makes for LOOONNNNGGGGGG nights!
*
WE WILL SURVIVE...SLEEP IS OVER RATED ANYWAY, RIGHT?

HUGS!!
SO Sorry sis!!! Love you!!
I feel for you. Sleep is #1 on my priority list.....way over iceskating. When I hear about what you have to deal with, I feel ashamed to say that I used to wonder how I would make it through the sleepless nights when Ricky was a baby.
So sorry. Praying that everyone gets a good nights sleep tonight.
Oh...I'm so sorry about all this yucky stuff going on at your house. :( And yes, you just keep telling yourself that about the sleep thing. ;) Ang
My kids would spike a fever at 105 whenever they had strep. My youngest would always hallucinate at a high fever, even at 103. Used to freak me out at first but eventually I understood and it was o.k....freaky, but o.k. The doctor wasn't worried so I tried not to.
I will be praying for you. I used to bring their toddler bed out to the living room and I'd sleep on the couch next to them. I would bring a t.v. in there and plug it in and they (and I) would fall asleep watching a kid's dvd.
Not exactly a great thing, but I figured it distracted them and kept their minds off being sick. Besides, they'd fall asleep fast as it was late at night (or early morning).
i remember those days all to well... praying for ALL of you!
