God Never Says Uh-Oh!!!

It hasn't been 5 minutes since my last post and look at what my Dad sent out. It's so very scriptural and true, as I felt also last night that I was still out of obedience called to pray for our new president!

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to write a few things concerning our responsibility now that the election is over. Rex Price sent out an email this morning also and I do not know how many of you received it, but he too is on the right path. Thanks, Rex. I'll be using one of your scripture references. This will be short as I plan on saying more in a message the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

Daniel 2:21 He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.

Romans 13:1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

I Timothy 2:1-4 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone --- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

However you may have voted yesterday, to me, our responsibility is clear according the the above referenced scriptures. I went to bed last night praying for our new president elect Barack Obama. It was right and scriptural to do. God is in control of it all. He never goes, "uh-oh". He is never surprised about any outcome.

And remember, Jesus is still on the throne. He is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. Amen? --- Amen.

I love these Scripture and couldn't agree more. I am not quite able to respect Mr Obama yet, but I can certainly pray for him.

So many of us have heavy hearts today... because we know what the reality of this situation is.

Keep the faith!

God bless-
Amanda
